Last Minute Rush

Talk about leave things to the last minute! Men! Had OH brother ask me on Saturday if I could do three cards for his kids (two grown ups and one for his granddaughter) no rush he says but can I have them by Wednesday? Yes I said, no problem. Then he asks could you do one with a pregnant lady in silhouette on it (or better still a couple), Yes I said course I can. Then I locked myself in a cupboard and cried (only joking)

Anyway, to cut a long story short and with a little help from my crafting friends (especially Danielle Spencer and Joan M Doherty) I made the first card for his daughter who's expecting her baby on Christmas Day. I took the image from the Internet and coloured it with promarkers, I printed the message he wanted "this Christmas you will give the greatest gift of all...." And on the insert it reads: 'the gift of life" onto some green backing paper (looks a mucky grey in the photo!).  Used some gilding flakes on the flourishes and added a red ribbon. Not sure if it's Christmassy enough, but hopefully he'll like it - not sure if I do or not????

The second card I've uploaded is the one for his granddaughter Molly. It's her Mum who's having the baby so I thought I'd make her something a little different, so decided on a shaker card. I just love this stamp he's such a cute snowman :). I was really pleased how this one turned out and it didn't take me too long - unlike this blog! Well if you haven't fallen asleep by this stage or lost the will to live! then leave me a comment and I look forward to reading them later. Thanks for popping by.

Oh PS by the way lucky enough he found one from my stash for his son so that was a relief lol!
