No flowers, no flourishes, no fuss

Thought I would show you the card I've made today using the craft stash I've bought this week (I'm sure it's an obsession and I really must curtail my spending, spent so much this week - but then I don't smoke, don't drink and don't go clubbing every night - and I'm not condoning anyone who does - but crafting is something I enjoy and it gives me a form of escapism from the trials and tribulations of everyday life, although compared to some my life is pretty simple.
Anyway, getting back to the card - it's an 8x8 scalloped card blank, covered in 12x12 sheet from The Goody Bag, along with the glitter card (not sure if this is the latest one from Docrafts, as there were too many to choose from in Hobbycraft). The stamp is another Whimsy one from Oyster Stamps, coloured in with promarkers, green and yellow ribbon and a little bow and hey ho one very pretty card. I decided I didn't want to put anything else on it - just liked it simple - hope you do too x

Shades of Grey

Inspired by Craft Your Days Away Blogspot challenge, I've made this card, obviously I haven't read any of the books (you little liar!!!) I'm far to prim and proper! (lol), but thanks to my friends on Lower P & P on Create and Craft Facebook page, I have now discovered Oyster Stamps and this little stamp called the Silver Fairy, isn't she lovely (hardly an Anastasia Steele) but then I don't live with a Christian Grey (not sure I'd want too!!! Well not all the time!) Hope you like it too and that you'll take the time to leave a comment. It really does make it worthwhile to read what you think of the blood sweat and tears that goes into some of these creations. Thank you very much x

We create our tomorrow.....

By what we dream today. Thats what the stamp says, so OK I'm dreaming I've won the lottery and don't have to go to work tomorrow. Ah dear, never mind dreaming over and back to reality.
I made this card this afternoon after watching a lady demoing the new spellbinder dies on C & C and picked up on the stamped border on the left hand side, the card's not quite to her calibre (excuse the pun - grand calibur) but to the best of mine given what I had available. If you need to know what I've used then leave me a comment or drop me an e mail and I'll happily answer any questions.
Hope you've all had a good weekend, long may the sun shine (about bloody time!). Take care x

Here's to the Fuschia

Hi everyone, I'm back! All unpacked, finished the washing, cooked the Sunday dinner and caught up at work (well almost), and had time to make a card, or two!

It was nice to go away, change of scenery and all that, but I did miss my crafting. However, found five minutes to make this 6x6 card using my imagination crafts rubber stamp that I received over a month ago? Coloured in with promarkers and used part of my blog candy prize of the backing paper and here it is! It's such a cheerful colour that I hope it cheers your day - it did mine that is before it rained again lol x

50's Style Part Two

Evening from a very wet and grey Cornwall. Hope it's been a better day for you wherever you are?
As I haven't been able to make any cards whilst we are away ( that will change as soon as I get home!) I thought I would post a couple of cards using the dress stamp I used recently for a 50's theme card using pro markers, except this time I have used patterned papers for the dresses
(apologies to Di if you have n't managed to get hold of the stamp yet don't mean to rub salt in the wound :) ) but it just proves how versatile some stamps can be. I think this technique is called paper piecing. I hope you like both versions of the easel card in different colours. In fact if I was to make these cards again, I would
improve the standard of the die cut flowers (what a difference a blog can make - makes you look at your card making in a totally different light Lol x )

Step Inside - New Home Card

Away from home for a few days and no crafting stash with me (sob!) so just in case you crazy crafters out there should wander off somewhere, thought I'd post a card I made previously for my nephew when he moved into his new home, pretty simple really, the door stamp is from Dimensions and coloured in with pro markers, along with the bricks and the people inside are all hand drawn - I knew my matchstick people would come in handy one day.
Hopefully I'll be posting some more cards later in the week, Internet access permitting!!!!
Really appreciate the comments that you take the time and trouble to make and it does make such a difference out there knowing people are interested and appreciate the work that goes in to card making xxx take care everyone x

Topsy Turvy Teddy Bo

Thought I would share this card with you today. It's a slider card and the first one I have made, always thought these were difficult to make but they're relatively simple.
I've used a c5 card in landscape, the free Teddy Bo stamp and the backing paper from Lili O valley (added the bluebirds from the Little Claire's Changing tree set) and there you go. Hope Joseph likes it - might keep him amused for all of 30 seconds!!!

Whiter than White!

Evening people's, hope you've all had a good day? I just thought I'd show you this card that I made tonight to enter into the Cards Galore Challenge blog 'white on white'
I thought it was going to be difficult to put together and I had to resist the urge to use distress inks on the edges just to add a little bit of colour! But now it's finished I'm quite chuffed with it - something a little different for me for a change.

Little bear Blue

I'm entering this card into the http://craftyourdaysaway.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/challenge-48-teddy-bears.html. It's an 8 x 8 card blank, mounted with two tones of blue, topped with the teddy stamp, some die cuts and some bunting - and the sentiment (almost forgot that!). I know you've seen the stamp before but doesn't he look good in blue?

With or Without

I was watching Barbara Gray yesterday and she was using fusible fibres and film. Well what had I got in my stash and had never really had much success with - yep you guessed - so when I eventually found them I had a go with them today. I had already made this card yesterday, a 6x6 card from Little Claire's, stamped with my new Imagination Crafts stamp and coloured the dragonflies with distress inks. But what I was wondering, and this is where you come in, do I make another card using the fusible fibres or stick them on to the existing card? Let me know what you think pleeeeeease. Probably won't be back to later as I've got my Mum coming for dinner and had better go and tidy the house a little - well put my craft stash away that would make the place look a lot better for a while anyway lol - whatever you're doing today hope you enjoy it x
